Support the team working in the Insurance division of the company with client retention to a target market clients. Must have Life, Accident and Health license for the State of Michigan. Will be an active communication link responsible for reinforcing the client/producer relationship; accountable to be responsive to client and producer needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This individual must demonstrate a high level of initiative and ability to work interdependently with the producer and other team members. Must take the initiative to expedite tasks in a timely manner, possess the initiative to make sound decisions with rapid/informed resolutions. Will review confidential financial and personal data provided by client.
Producer Support
Telephoning existing clients for mandatory application in order to keep feature on their disability policy
Handle unsolicited calls from clients
Prepare and understand sales illustrations
Help coordinate marketing campaigns related to retention of clients
Basic Case Preparation Support
Client Interviewing:
- interview client to determine materials needed
- submit materials to the insurance carrier
- document client meetings and calls
Implementation:
- prepare forms for producer/client signatures
- review and update client information with producer if his intervention with the client is needed
- maintain files and records
Administrative
review work processes for potential quality improvements and efficiencies,
implement them with team buy-in when appropriate
plan and prioritize own work schedule
use activity to-do lists, calendars, software and other work/time management
systems
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITY

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High School or equivalent
College degree in business or finance preferred
2-4 years business experience needed in the individual insurance industry
College degree and related skills may be substituted for related work experience
Experience working in a client service environment
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Fully licensed for life, accident and health in the state of Michigan
