Employment Type: Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens Description:

Shift: 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday with possible OT on Friday & Saturday

Must have forklift experience, they will be certified onsite
Position Summary:
Responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.
This may include functions of receiving, picking, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.
Essential / Key Job Responsibilities (including supervisory and/or fiscal):
Demonstrates safe working practices.
Demonstrates working knowledge and proficiency in assigned areas.
Accurately performs basic operational tasks assigned to the individual within the operating guidelines of the facility
Operates multiple types of material handling/packaging/warehouse equipment.
Maintains appropriate licenses/training/certifications, as needed.
Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks within own area.
Works within defined process procedures or methodologies and adheres to quality guidelines.
Develops skills and techniques in several skill area/process/methods.
Contributes to achievement of team goals; promotes teamwork and open discussion of issues.
Works with moderate degree of supervision.
Understand Lean concepts (kanban, flow, 5S, etc).
Responsible for inventory accuracy.
Meets defined standards of picking efficiencies while ensuring accuracy of those transactions.
Develops and maintains a good customer relationship with internal and/or external customers through definition of requirements and meeting those requirements.
Works closely with Production Planning regarding schedule changes.
Required Qualifications:
Solid math skills.
Must be able to lift or manoeuvre 50 pounds and ability to manipulate chemical drums (up to 700 pounds) safely.
Forklift experience preferred.
Effective oral and communication skills. Will be trained and rotated as the need dictates.
Capable of working addition hours with minimal notice.
Education and/or Experience:
High School or GED.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use sight, and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls, and office equipment.
The employee frequently is required to verbally communicate with other associates.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be in an open cubicle environment.
Candidate must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
