We have partnered with a large Manufacturing company in the Monroe, NJ area to provide them with a Human Resources Specialist.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Specialist:

Coordinates and administers the operations of various HR processes including but not limited to; updating the HRIS system with new hire information and ensuring that the information is completed and processed. Manages the billing process for the HR department; reviewing vendor invoices, resolving disputes, and reporting any issues, and escalating appropriately. The HR Specialist will be involved in a number of processes supporting the entire HR department.

Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files
Provide daily support to the HR Manager, Director, and VP on employee-related matters
Ensure all new hire paperwork is processed timely and accurately and prepare employee personnel folder
Act as a point of contact for Tuition Reimbursement program and track participation
Update, maintain and distribute organizational charts
Reconcile monthly billing statements for medical, life & dental insurance coverage.
Administer STD/FML/NJFLA process with vendor and payroll
Administer EEO/AAP process with the vendor
Participate in Wellness Program
Day-to-day maintenance of HRIS (New hires/terminations etc.)
Participate in policy reviews and updates
Participate in all required audits and filings
Assist with open enrollment
Assist with running benefit new hire orientations.
Conduct onboarding of all new hires, including the assurance that all employment documents are complete and entered into the HRIS
Assist with updating HR portal on the Intranet
Work on ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements of the Human Resources Specialist:

Four (4) years of human resources and/or benefit administration experience.
Bachelorís degree or equivalent work experience.
Working knowledge of benefits programs and familiarity with government regulations.
Knowledge of multi-state and federal laws and regulations relating to employee benefits administration, health plan administration.
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
MS Outlook, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Excel and HRIS experience preferred (Ceridian/ ADP)
Strong communication is written/verbal (employee communications and presentations)
Detail-oriented and the ability to multi-task
Strong customer focus
Team player
