Northwest Partners has an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst with a financial services background for a client in the FinTech industry. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visa at this time. About The Role: The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for following established procedures for testing and analyzing software components with a focus on integrations to ensure a defect free product is delivered in a business environment to the clients. What Will You Be Doing For Our Client? - Performing as Quality Assurance Analyst on a team in support of projects, new development and ongoing product release efforts
- Analyzing product development designs and articulating expected testing approach
- Writing detailed test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on detailed requirements
- Writing and executing Black box, Smoke, System, Functional, Business flow and Regression test cases
- Identifying, capturing, and managing system defects
- Collaborating with other functional teams on features or sub-systems. Interacting with Developers, Project Managers and Business Analysts
- Performs other duties as required
Required Qualifications For Consideration: - Acquisition of 2-5 years' experience in quality assurance with an in-depth understanding of QA methodologies
- Experience working with accounting or financial services applications
- Functional UI testing experience on Mainframe and Web based applications
- Working knowledge of basic lending financial calculations, including but not limited to: lease and loan payment calculations, future value calculations, present value calculations, and APR calculations
- Experience documenting and tracking defects, and producing detailed reports
- Proficiency in SQL to support functional analysis and quality assurance testing
- Experience developing complex SQL Queries to derive expected results, set up desired data loads for execution of functional scenarios
- Excellent time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Experience working with .NET Web based applications
- Financial Technology Industry knowledge
- Knowledge of Credit Bureau reporting
- Basic understanding of income tax accounting and concepts, including asset depreciation and book income versus tax income timing differences
- QA certifications ex. ISTQB, CST, and CSTA
