SAP MDM Consultant Location: Hybrid - 7834 C F Hawn Freeway Dallas TX (3days per week onsite) Duration: 6-months contract, C2H (Contract to hire) Experience and Knowledge Required: - Must have Bachelors degree in Computer Science ,Textile/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline with an Information Technology focus. - Must have8 years of progressive experience in job specific work experience - Minimum6 years in SAP positions performing the following: - Utilizing knowledge of various SAP modules, at least the OTC or SCM module and MDM relatedobjects/configuration for Customer, Material, Vendor, Pricing. - Working on large-scale SAP projects - Utilizing various middleware tools with a focus on data integration between SAP and other systems including PI/PO, EDI, and BizTalk - Business process re-engineering with broad-based information systems - Utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change and develop efficient and effective solutions and complex business problems. - Project management experience including conceptualizing, organizing, planning, and executing large-scale, high-dollar,and high-risk projects from vision through implementation, with diverse stakeholders. - Must have held a consultant role in at least 4projects to include at least 3 full lifecycle projects. Primary Objective: The SAP MDM Business Consultant functions as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions. Responsibilities include, among others ,performing current state analysis, defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementation. This position performs accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manages day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels Major Function and Scope: Performs current state analysis, defines systems strategy, develops system requirements, designs and prototypes, tests, trains, and defines support procedures and implementation Performs accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues and manages day-to-day client relationships at peer client levels. Analyzes customers business requirements and tailors the use of the system to meet those objectives. Identifies and understands end users (across functions)technical SAP requirements. Builds and maintains strong end user relationships assingle-point-of-contact for all SAP and IT-related matters Documents and analyzes software, and/or system functional requirements from key stakeholders, develops project plans and timelines to successfully deploy solutions, installs, and configures SAP to meet each clients individual requirements, assists and data conversion, and provide send-user training and on-going customer support. Liaises with key business users for business requirements and translates them into SAP requirements. Liaises with all aspects of production procurement testing and implementation. Works with SAP develops to custom make SAP modules to meet the business requirements of buy/sell operations. Manages the project team, project rollout/implementationand SAP upgrades. Provides strategic consultancy support to assignedcustomers in defining or designing business processes and researching andidentifying enabling technologies based on customer requirements. Documents existing customer business processes,identifies inefficiencies, and recommends improvements for these systems. Proactively seeks ways to apply technology to businessprocesses, researches, and provides information on technical trends andcompetitors practices relevant to the assigned client business; partners withcustomers to develop business case justification for applications projects;identifies customer business requirements for significant enhancements toexisting systems and for new development projects; translates requirements intobusiness rules and user interfaces; coordinates systems design efforts with enduser interactions. Develops, documents, and maintains best practices,project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and lessonslearned, including metrics for assessing progress; ensures that applicationssystems are developed in a way that complies with architectural standards andestablished methodologies and practices; develops and delivers training on andemphasizes the use of established project standards, methodology, and qualityobjectives. Monitors and reports on the status of multiple concurrentproject efforts; proactively reviews and interprets performance againstoperating plans and standards; provides information and reports to subordinateson interpretation of results and approves changes in plans; presents reports onproject performance, changes, enhancements, scope variations, and other relatedmatters and/or participate in key management activities and committees advisingIS senior management and business unit sponsors accordingly. Ability to act asan advisor on professional and technical issues with a view towards reachingdecisions. - Ability to work effectively in a diverse workgroup and to achieve results through team efforts. Ability to perform in ahigh-pressure environment and/or crisis situation and contribute to decisionsto resolve the problems, maintain safety and ensure adherence to Corporate Codeof Conduct. - Consistently proven ability to contribute toproject implementations and concept developments.
