Vector Construction is seeking a motivated and experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a part of the Concrete Preservation Alliance, Vector Construction is dedicated to preserving concrete structures through modern techniques and innovative solutions. The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the field operations for our Cedar Rapids, IA Division, ensuring they are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, a passion for concrete preservation, and a desire to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee field operations from conception to completion.
• Coordinate and oversee all field activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and staffing.
• Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Maintain and update project schedules, budgets, and other essential documentation.
• Monitor construction activities and make necessary changes to ensure project success.
• Lead and support employee development.
• Lead and support Vector's Safety culture and programs, ensuring compliance out in the field.
• Support the field crews with hands on involvement as needed on projects
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success and client satisfaction.

Requirements

• Ability to regularly travel within the US to provide field support to your teams/projects. This position will require 70%+ travel and long durations at times.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
