Medicaid Eligibility Specialist Team Lead (Remote)

Who we need:

We are looking for a result-driven team leader to be responsible for monitoring and supervising a team of Medicaid Eligibility Specialists to achieve the organizations objectives. You will be responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. You should create a cohesive team that works efficiently together to maximize the teams potential. The Lead will support the customer service teams needs for mentoring and coaching and help increase the teams overall performance and quality. The Medicaid Eligibility Team Lead reports to an assigned supervisor. This is a remote position, open to candidates living anywhere.

What youll do:

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.

What youll need:

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical terminology course(s) helpful.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Medical terminology
  • Health insurance industry

Ability to:

  • Use phone system effectively.
  • Research and investigate.
  • Follow confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Navigate and use electronic equipment and systems easily and proficiently.
  • Multitask on a personal computer while conducting telephone conversations.
  • Work in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Remain calm and courteous when handling difficult calls and request

Skills:

  • Effective verbal and listening skills to provide courteous and professional customer service.
  • Effective PC skills including electronic mail, intranet, and industry standard applications.

Experience

  • 2+ years customer service/telephone experience in a similar call center environment and/or industry required.
