Revenue Accounting Manager

This role within this SaaS company is critical in overseeing the entire order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GAAP, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing revenue accounting functions.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage end-to-end order cash process, with responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, revenue recognition, reconciliation, and reporting


• Review sales tax calculations and manage sales tax inquiries from clients. Reconcile sales tax records with returns filed.


• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.


• Reconcile revenue and other financial accounts.


• Participate in the development of new products to determine the recording of revenue and develop key controls and new or enhanced reporting as necessary.


• Serve as subject matter expert on billing systems for upgrades and process changes.


• Collaborate with IT, sales, and other internal groups in process improvement initiatives.


• Review contracts to interpret terms and conditions and determine revenue recognition.


• Coordinate the collection of overdue accounts.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with experience in billing and revenue.


• Knowledge of sales tax recognition.


• Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite strongly preferred), and Excel


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
