Revenue Accounting Manager
Very attractive career opportunity for a Manager of Revenue Accounting to join the finance team. The company is a well known world leader in their industry and growing. This role within this SaaS company is critical in overseeing the entire order-to-cash process, ensuring accurate billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GAAP, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in managing revenue accounting functions.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage end-to-end order cash process, with responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate billing, collections, revenue recognition, reconciliation, and reporting
- Review sales tax calculations and manage sales tax inquiries from clients. Reconcile sales tax records with returns filed.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate and timely recording of transactions.
- Reconcile revenue and other financial accounts.
- Participate in the development of new products to determine the recording of revenue and develop key controls and new or enhanced reporting as necessary.
- Serve as subject matter expert on billing systems for upgrades and process changes.
- Collaborate with IT, sales, and other internal groups in process improvement initiatives.
- Review contracts to interpret terms and conditions and determine revenue recognition.
- Coordinate the collection of overdue accounts.
Requirements include:
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, with experience in billing and revenue.
- Knowledge of sales tax recognition.
- Proficient in accounting software (NetSuite strongly preferred), and Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
