Key Skills:Solution Architecture and Design ( Including Enterprise ArchitectureExperienceArchitectural Design & DocumentationSystem Dependency Analysis and EstimationTechnical Leadership and InnovationCollaboration and Stakeholder EngagementApplication Security and ComplianceJob DescriptionThis contractor position will support our Project Lifecycle Managementprocess as a key architect.The role will involve attending discovery sessions to understandproject requirements, collaborating with stakeholders (ProjectManagement Office, Solution Engineers, other architects, and SMEs) todocument architectural diagrams, and ensuring compliance with OIT'stechnical standards and service offerings.Key Responsibilities include:Translating business requirements into architectural artifacts.Analyzing system dependencies and estimating level of effort.Assisting with solution selection and discovery sessions.Leading iterative technical design workshops to finalize thearchitectural plan and LOE.Required Skills:- Bring best in class technologies, innovation, and creativityto the table in developing technical solutions to solve complexmulti-dimensional problems Perform a wide range of highly technical and advisory dutiesassociated with the design, implementation and support of OITApplications solutions Provide technology leadership by architecting, prototyping,researching, recommending, documenting, and assisting in implementingand evaluating technical solutions for business issues whetherpurchased or developed Interpret business, technical, regulatory, and architecturalrequirements in researching and recommending solutions Review the accuracy of the release notes and technicaldocumentation through collaboration with the applications developmentareas Coordinate and monitor OIT technologies for capacityplanning, data modeling, integration planning and availabilitymeasurement Work with the CISO staff to implement appropriate applicationsecurity controls across all applications development areas Work with CTO staff to establish standards and disciplinedtechniques for technical activities like creating new code,restructuring existing code, and maintaining version control andsecurity Develop estimates of the teamwork effort needed to deliverapplication solutions based on the project specifications provided;report progress to management and project managers as requested Interface with vendor technology/solutions, as well asappropriate involvement of OIT architecture, throughout the entireproject lifecycle Have ongoing interaction with key stakeholders to advise andensure that timely, innovative, and appropriate infrastructure andservices support agency strategies, projects and outcomes to alignwith OIT roadmaps, desired future states and overall architecturalfit Assign team members to projects and initiatives based onskill set and experience required Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
