Job Description:

Private household at 77A Avenue and 138 Street located in Surrey is looking for Companion.

Full time position, must be flexible to cover shifts, some weekends, hours will vary from day, night and evenings. Overtime may be required.

Work Location: Work in employer's/client's home. Accommodation is available at NO Extra
Cost if the caregiver wishes to stay in the home; however, this is NOT a condition of
employment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist my mother in everyday personal needs such as toileting, bathing and grooming.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to her.
• Escort my mother to doctor appointments or any other appointments scheduled.
• Perform light housekeeping activities for my mother such as cleaning, dusting, making bed, change linen, laundry and vacuuming.
• Provide companionship to my mother by lending an ear or a shoulder to lean on.
• Engage with my mother in outdoor activities such as light walking.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for her.
• Observe my mother’ behaviour or concerns and report them to the family or doctor on immediate basis.
• Maintain record of her activities, behavior and symptoms for reference purposes.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School.
• Previous Experience in the same field is an asset.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English. Punjabi speaking is an asset but not a requirement.
