About the Role: As the Senior Director of Self-Directed Programs, you will lead, plan, develop, implement, and grow Accord's self-directed programs that promote independence and choice, adhering to best practice and evidence-based models, and and ensuring fiscally viability.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute a strategic approach employing best practice guidelines of performance management at Accord for all employees in assigned programs to ensure that employees are supported and coached to achieve productivity goals.
  • Complete and maintain certification in Personal Outcome Measures (POM) Interviews through the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL).
  • Conduct POM Interviews with individuals to help them explore community integration, self-advocacy, goal setting, and discovery of personal goals.
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, evaluation and growth of self-directed programs that promote independence and choice, adhere to best practice, and use evidence-based service models.
  • Assure the fiscal viability of programs including seeking new funding sources, maintaining positive relationships with funders, and utilizing effective marketing strategies.
  • Gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data and measurements for decision-making.
  • Promote and model best practices in service delivery including person-centered planning and personal empowerment approaches.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and across teams to monitor and evaluate assigned programs, policies, and procedures; develop and implement changes in procedures and policies as assigned and make recommendations for policy changes when needed to comply with licensing requirements, accreditation standards and all state and federal legislation.
  • Prepare an annual budget, provide continual fiscal oversight, forecast and authorize the expenditure of funds for assigned programs.
  • Serve as a representative of the agency to the people we serve, our community partners and external constituents. Serve as a positive role model for other employees.
  • Make program presentations to committees, boards, commissions, funding sources and other community groups and represent the agency on outside advisory boards, committees and commissions.
  • Work effectively as a team member and collaborate with people in all levels and across the organization.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills/abilities.
  • Availability to travel locally for work with limited overnight travel possible.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in a relevant human services field required Masters Degree preferred.If you hold a Social Work degree, we expect you to be licensed by the Minnesota Board of Social Work, as required.
  • 5+ years of work experience required in the field of human services working with older adults and people living with disabilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership capacity required.
  • Proficient in GSuite, Excel, and third party analytics.
  • Must have a valid Drivers License and reliable transportation to be used as needed for work related functions.
