Produce cost estimates and budgets for projects at a variety of stages; Create and maintain typical detailing, guidelines, and current market pricing of various structural, faade and MEP systems for reference and evaluation during preconstruction; Maintain bidders database and internal historical cost data; Produce value engineering exercises during preconstruction or during production of change orders and budgets for projects already in construction; Ensure timely collection of supporting subcontractors bids; Timely produce estimates and budgets; Prepare conceptual budgets and take-offs; Perform quantity takeoffs for potential new projects to be used as the basis for conceptual estimates; Review drawings and perform logistics planning; Draft early buyout leveling sheets; Manage and develop relationships with subcontractors and vendors; Manage subcontractor prequalification summaries and proprietary subcontractor and unit pricing databases; Maintain project comparisons and bid lists; and Conduct regular site visits to undetermined local locations within the same area of intended employment. 1-2 job site visits per month at local unanticipated locations.
Requires 1 year of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or in a related occupation. Requires experience with: Preparing RFPs; Reading plans, including structural and MEPs; Soliciting and reviewing quotes from potential subcontractors/vendors; Using estimating concepts and performing quantity takeoffs; Managing construction projects; Obtaining work permits through DOB NOW system; Creating construction logistics plans from site layouts; and Using cloud-based project management technology tool (i.e. Procore), and MS Project.
Requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field
