Position: Mechanical Engineer

Key Client Need/Hot Button: Direct Industry Experience, mechanical engineering degree

Job Description:

Direct and coordinate the design/revision of major engineering projects
Perform equipment layouts, size equipment, work with vendors, customers and internal engineering team
Obtain field data, perform construction reports
Take plans from conception to design
Create schematics based on customer specifications
Create and stamp drawings
Meet with technicians and estimators to go over designs
Prepare parts list for Materials Manager, order additional parts needed
Complete job thoroughly, efficiently and to all specifications
Maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors
Follow all job site safely protocols
Communicate with president

Directly Supervises:

CAD/Revit Technicians

Communicate job progress/problems with President
Assemble thorough schematics and designs in a timely manner
Create thorough job blueprints for technicians
Assemble accurate parts lists for the Materials Manager
Provide leadership and assist Engineers & CAD/Revit Technicians in gaining knowledge of the trade ensuring the department is running efficiently
