Continuous on-site inspection, detection & evaluation of the rock units as they are being drilled. Real time evaluation of gas hydrocarbons & its constituents. Be the oil & gas companies’ primary contact at the well site & report all geological data directly to the client. Create a graphic log aka Mudlog. Collect, analyze, and produce Geological Reports from different formations drilled. Monitors and evaluate the gas coming out of the drilling machinery using various advanced gas detection systems such as iBall Gas Instruments, Mass Spectrometer and RigRooster. Utilized Petrographic Microscope, Fluoroscope, weak acid such as 10% HCL and acetone, and Phenolphthalein to understand the mineral content of the rock cuttings. Utilized Logging Software such as TLog to provide a comprehensive and detailed account of the drilling activity which included Geology, cross section, gamma rays, as well as different Hydraulics that make up the drilling operations. Trained new hires on how to adapt to the company’s work environment as well as learn the job’s standard operating procedures. Participated in daily safety and operational meetings to ensure smooth drilling operations.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience, Physical Science, Earth Science or related field plus 12 months of experience in the job offered and 12 months of experience in geological laboratory techniques for evaluating samples of signs of hydrocarbon saturation and in the creation of graphic log aka Mudlog.
