Express Employment Professionals is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist for a full-time opportunity in Ottawa, IL. If you have a strong background in AR, invoicing, and financial processes, this could be the perfect fit for you!

📅 Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
💰 Pay Range: $45k-50kDOE)

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Process accounts receivable payments via checks, ACH, wires, and credit cards
🔹 Verify daily customer invoice posting and ensure accuracy in clearing accounts
🔹 Review invoices for taxation and overall accuracy
🔹 Process credit memos and distribute monthly customer statements
🔹 Contact customers with delinquent accounts and track debt collection efforts in X3
🔹 Follow up with internal teams to resolve customer disputes affecting payments
🔹 Monitor and adjust credit holds as needed
🔹 Assess creditworthiness of new customers and assist in financing arrangements
🔹 Support expense administration and reporting
🔹 Cross-train with the Financial Accounting team on bank reconciliations, AR/AP processing, and tax activities
🔹 Assist the Controller with additional accounting and clerical tasks

Qualifications & Skills:
✔ 2+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, with a track record of DSO improvements
✔ Strong spreadsheet skills (including VLOOKUP & pivot tables)
✔ Experience with QuickBooks and Sage (preferred)
✔ Ability to work independently and in a team environment
✔ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
✔ Self-motivated with minimal supervision required
