Our CNC Manufacturing Client in Lake County, IL is seeking an Application Engineer to join their team! Work for a company that is trusted, hard-working and looking to continue growing.

Job Highlights:



  • Direct Hire

  • Pay: $33-40+/hr, based on experience. Opportunity for overtime.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Potential for travel outside work hours.

Job Duties:



  • Conduct field service at customer facilities, ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of CNC tool & cutter grinding machines.

  • Specifically working on Straustak machines with an understanding of Numroto software

  • Provide comprehensive support to customers onsite, by phone, and via email, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting issues promptly and effectively.

  • Expect up to 50% travel within the USA, Canada, and Mexico to support customer needs.


Ideal Candidates:



  • Technical field service experience with CNC grinding machinery, encompassing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting machine problems both on-site and remotely, including answering customer inquiries regarding maintenance, mechanical/electrical drawings, and part identification.

  • Experience with the installation of CNC grinding machines at customer facilities.

  • "Hands-on" individual with a strong mechanical aptitude.

  • Ability to interpret and comprehend electrical, mechanical, and other technical drawings.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and fluid power circuits is preferred.
