Position Summary

We are hiring a skilled and compassionate ICU RN to join a reputed Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, IA. The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment. This role is vital for maintaining exceptional standards of patient care in the Intensive Care Unit.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct and comprehensive nursing care to ICU patients.
Monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, administer medications, and respond to emergencies.
Perform procedures and interventions within scope of practice as defined by the Iowa State Board of Nursing.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Document all patient care accurately and timely in accordance with hospital policies.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
Current, unencumbered Iowa RN license or Compact State licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Dysrhythmia course completed within 6 months of hire or pass written dysrhythmia competency within 90 days.
Recent RN experience in acute care setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Telemetry or Progressive Care nursing.
Progressive Care RN Certification (or willingness to obtain).
