Assc Dir- Analytics & Modeling at Moody’s Analytics, Inc. (New York, NY). Conduct theoretical and empirical research to measure credit risk, portfolio valuation, balance sheet management, and enterprise risk management that will be implemented in our prototypes and software solutions. Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Financial Engineering, Finance, Financial Economics, or a closely related quantitative field and six (6) months of experience as a Research Analyst or in a related position performing econometric and statistical modeling. Must have experience with the following: performing financial modeling and data mining; using machine learning algorithms with large scale financial data and geospatial data in cloud environments to identify and analyze market patterns and trends; applying knowledge of financial markets; conducting large scale data analysis within financial risk management; working with Python, R, and SQL; working with scientific Python stack (NumPy, Pandas, Polars, or related) and advanced AI and machine learning libraries (Scikit-Learn, Tensorflow, Pytorch, LangChain, OpenAI-Python, or related); and working with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.). For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,778 to $243,650/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
