PayPal, Inc. seeks Manager, Business Intelligence 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s data and applications, and the use of data for business improvement. Translate data-driven insights into consumable, audience appropriate information and recommendations. Lead a team of data analysts in delivering high quality data analysis and data visualizations, conveying complex concepts in easy to understand terms. Develop data models and advanced mathematical solutions for solving business problems and driving operational effectiveness. Provide analytical thought leadership, mentoring and training to analysts and end users globally. Ensure Business Intelligence (BI) solutions empower global audiences to perform deep-dives, identify challenges and opportunities, and efficiently derive actionable insights for business leaders. Work across silos and collaborate with global colleagues and partner organizations to ensure consistency and sharing of insights as “one team”. Full-time telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Manage 3-5 direct reports in the following roles: Manager Business Intelligence, Manager Data Science, MTS Data Engineer, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Scientist. Full-time telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a closely related technical field such as Electronic Engineering plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a closely related technical field such as Electronic Engineering plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Salary: $218,933.00-219,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
