Our client is a small medical device company developing life-critical devices. The Principal Engineer will be part of the Systems Engineering group that drives the technical requirements of electromechanical and connected devices. This role is the technical arm of the overall development program working closely with Program Management and the cross-functional development team of Electrical, Software, Mechanical, and Quality engineering.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS in Electrical, Systems, CS, or related disciplines; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience designing and developing commercial software focused or electromechanical medical devices.
- Experience developing technical requirements and test plans.
- A strong understanding and experience around system AND Software architectures and tradeoffs.
- Experience leading a cross-discipline team.
- Willingness to be on-site 3+ days/week
