Title: OCM Communications Specialist Compensation Change Initiatives Duration of Project: 3 Months - May be extended Location/Address: Chandler, AZ. Hybrid 3x week Job Description: The OCM Communications Specialist Compensation Change Initiatives is responsible for planning, developing, and executing communication strategies to support the rollout of compensation changes across the organization. This role ensures employees clearly understand the changes, the reasons behind them, and how they will be impacted. The specialist will work closely with HR, compensation teams, leadership, and change management to deliver messaging that is transparent, timely, and empatheticbuilding trust and supporting a smooth transition. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement targeted communication plans for compensation changes, including timelines, key messages, and delivery channels. Craft clear, concise, and audience-specific messaging for emails, FAQs, intranet posts, leadership talking points, presentations, and town halls. Partner with HR and leadership to ensure communications align with organizational values, legal requirements, and brand tone. Anticipate employee questions and concerns; prepare proactive messaging to address them. Manage the sequencing of communications to ensure information is shared at the right time to the right audience. Support leaders and managers with toolkits and guides to help them communicate changes effectively to their teams. Monitor employee feedback and sentiment, adjusting communication strategies as needed. Track and report on communication effectiveness, engagement, and understanding. Ensure sensitive information is handled with confidentiality and compliance. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Communications, HR, Organizational Psychology, or related field. 35 years of experience in corporate communications or HR communications, ideally with exposure to compensation or policy changes. Experience in change management communications preferred. Skills & Competencies: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex or sensitive topics clearly. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust at all levels of the organization. Skilled at crafting messages that balance transparency with sensitivity. Ability to design and maintain webpages or landing pages that serve as a central resource for change-related information, using tools such as SharePoint, intranet CMS platforms, or similar. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Familiarity with change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci ADKAR) is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and communication platforms (SharePoint, Teams, Yammer, etc.). Key Success Factors Messages are understood, trusted, and reduce uncertainty among employees. Leaders feel confident communicating compensation changes to their teams. Employee feedback indicates clarity and transparency in the rollout process. Communication timelines are met without leaks or misinformation.
