This 12-month contract-to-hire role reports directly to the Controls Coordinator and supports production operations through automation design, equipment launches, continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing systems. Job Function: Engineering Industry: Automotive Experience Level: Mid-senior Experience Required: 3 Years Education Level: Associate Degree (Bachelors preferred) Total Positions: 1 Relocation Assistance: No Visa Sponsorship Eligibility: No Employment Type: 12-Month Contract-to-Hire Job Description Provide technical support in the area of software and hardware as it applies to automation within the manufacturing environment. This role reports directly to the Controls Coordinator and supports production operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated systems. Responsibilities - Participate in the design, development, procurement, and launch of automation and automated equipment.
- Support continuous improvement of equipment controls, including control modifications, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Support production operations with maintenance and repair of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and maintain plant equipment such as 3-axis CNC mills, conveyors, machine automation systems, and robots.
- Analyze problems and apply effective troubleshooting techniques and repair methodologies.
- Work from mechanical and electrical drawings, equipment specifications, and schematics.
- Assist with parts research and procurement as required.
- Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance per work orders.
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, quality documents, blueprints, and electrical prints.
- Complete charts and simple documentation to communicate status and issues to the team.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with all procedures and regulations.

Experience & Education Required - 2+ years of experience or knowledge in manufacturing process controls.
- Working knowledge of hardware and operating computer systems.
- Allen Bradley and/or Fanuc controls expertise preferred.
Associate or Bachelors degree in Automated Manufacturing, Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience. MUST HAVE - Associate or Bachelors degree in a relevant technical or engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience or knowledge in manufacturing process controls.
- Working knowledge of hardware and operating computer systems.
- Allen Bradley and/or Fanuc controls expertise.
