We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with 15+ years of experience in transportation and traffic engineering to lead complex roadway and traffic design projects. This role involves mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with local and state clients, and delivering high-quality, compliant civil engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multiple traffic and transportation design projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to meet project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Conduct design reviews, prepare engineering documents, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
• Apply advanced knowledge in roadway design, traffic control systems, and transportation planning.
• Participate in industry organizations and contribute to publications or presentations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 15+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including traffic/transportation projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal transportation standards and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage teams and mentor junior staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Certifications such as PTOE or IMSA.
• Experience with local Virginia government clients.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based (95%) with occasional field visits.
• Some lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required.
