Position Summary

Prime Healthcare Systems is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity critical care environment in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, and Neuro ICU, with the ability to manage complex, critically ill patients requiring advanced life-support interventions.

This role demands clinical excellence, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.

Unit & Patient Population

30-bed SICU / MICU / Neuro ICU

High-acuity critical care environment

Patient types include:

Open Heart / CABG

Neuro / Stroke / TNK

CRRT patients

Post-operative and medically complex ICU patients

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

DCI / BVP

All certifications must be current and active.

Required Experience

Recent high-acuity ICU experience

Proven experience with:

CRRT

CABG / Open Heart

Neuro ICU

Stroke & TNK administration

Strong critical thinking and advanced assessment skills

EPIC EMR experience required
