Position: CW Chassis Design Engineer Location: Saline, MI 48176 Job Type: Temporary Assignment Develop chassis components of Truck and SUV models, focusing on the following: - Create and manage 3D data, technical documentation, drawings, and parts lists based on vehicle change points or external group requests
- Perform regulation and certification confirmation activities
- Lead communication between design, supplier, and project management teams as needed
- Monitor North America field issues and warranty condition for chassis components, including completing root cause investigations as needed.
- Support benchmarking and study of cost reduction proposals with suppliers and make proposals for implementation
Requirements: - Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
- 5 years or more as a Mechanical engineer or equivalent
- Experience in CATIA
- Must be able to work up to 20% OT at various times
- Must be able to work M-Thur in the office
- Experience in Chassis design and development
