Job Description:

Develop and optimize data automation processes and optimize existing data automation. The Data Engineer will support a variety of data needs/roles across the organization on data initiatives and ensure an optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture. Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability. Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources. Work closely with customers, our employees, to understand their data needs and build creative solutions to solve those needs. Develop and manage curated data sets for business consumption, peer-reviewing SQL and code for quality assurance, and executing thorough testing to ensure data integrity. Manage and secure sensitive data (including PII) within data architecture and pipelines. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements, validate output, and implement secure and efficient data solutions that meet functional and compliance needs.
This position is fixed location based in GA office; however, telecommuting may be permitted up to 4 days / week.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Electronics Engineering or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience as an ETL Developer, Data Engineer, or related occupation.

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

- SQL knowledge with MS SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS or Snowflake

- Azure Data Factory

- Developing processes automating data transformation, loading data structures, and wrangling data rapidly

- Building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and data sets

- Performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.

- Experience in protected sensitivity data points (PII) on database structure

- Building and optimizing complex ETL workflows, automating data transformation processes, and integrating data from diverse internal and external sources

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
