Position: Quality Inspector
Location: Rockford, IL
Shift: 5:00 am to 2:30 pm M-F, Saturdays 4:30 am to 11 am

Responsibilities:
Checking parts to make sure they are in compliance with customer specifications.
Documenting checks and processes.
Checks may be made on the floor (periodic inspection) or in the quality lab (first piece, etc.).
Work with all levels of staff inside and outside the organization.
Update computer systems as required.

Required Skills:

Proficient in (not just regular experience):
Blueprint reading
Measurement tools and techniques
Math / conversions / fractions
Interpersonal relationships (working with customers, coworkers, engineers, operators etc.)
Computers and Scanners

Must have skills:
Attention to detail
Enjoys following a process / steps
Enjoys learning will take free time as an opportunity to read or ask questions / train
Enjoys following lists
Looks for ways to improve things
Willing to go where needed based on the departments needs that day / moment
Good judgement / rationalization / logic

Helpful experience:
Worked in industry / manufacturing before
Measurement with analog instruments and not only digital
Experience with CMM and GD&T
College or trade courses in quality control

Physical demands:
Ability to be on feet (standing and walking) all day
Lifting regularly up to 25 30 lbs.
Most parts will be lighter than this, but we also have some heavier that may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
Eyesight for seeing close details
OK with being in the shop or in the quality dept depending on whats needed
