This is a Cloud Engineer role centered on Microsoft Azure, infrastructure automation, security, DevOps, and operational excellence in an enterprise environment. The position emphasizes building secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud platforms rather than simply administering cloud resources.
Key Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience in production environments Strong experience with Microsoft Azure Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform Ansible Bicep ARM Templates Version control using Git Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages Understanding of: Cloud networking Virtualization Docker Kubernetes Cloud security principles Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Knowledge of DevOps methodologies Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Azure certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Azure Administrator Associate Azure DevOps Engineer Expert Experience with FinOps and cloud cost optimization Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools: Prometheus Grafana Datadog Azure Monitor Application Insights Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or life sciences Knowledge of compliance frameworks: GxP 21 CFR Part 11 HIPAA SOX Production experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Expertise in cloud security architecture: Identity and Access Management (IAM) Secrets management Network Security Groups (NSGs) Cloud-native security tools Core Responsibilities Cloud Architecture Design and deploy secure, scalable Azure environments Architect networking, compute, storage, and identity solutions Apply least-privilege access, encryption, and defense-in-depth principles Recommend cloud services and sustainable architectural patterns Automation & DevOps Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or Ansible Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines Automate provisioning, patching, scaling, monitoring, and alerting Improve reliability while reducing manual operations Security & Compliance Enforce security controls for identity, secrets, logging, and encryption Monitor for configuration drift and policy violations Integrate Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) practices Ensure compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements Optimization & Operations Monitor performance, availability, and cloud costs Implement FinOps practices and right-size resources Develop platform standards and reusable reference architectures Troubleshoot production issues and perform post-incident improvements
