Key Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic services to patients as planned and directed by the supervising Physical Therapist, ensuring adherence to individualized care plans.


• Utilize strong interpersonal skills to educate patients and their families about therapy techniques, home exercises, and rehabilitation goals.


• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes as part of our commitment to evidence-based practice.


• Implement infection control measures to prevent contamination and ensure safety during therapy sessions.


• Accept and execute clinical assignments that align with your training and professional competence, ensuring high standards of patient care.


• Engage in mandatory continuing education and participate in in-service training programs to stay abreast of the latest therapeutic techniques and best practices.


• Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth through active participation in team meetings and ongoing learning opportunities.


• Effectively use technology for communication, documentation, and management of essential job functions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist Assistant will work with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors suffering from various physical impairments. The focus will be on recovery from surgical procedures, management of chronic pain, and improvement of mobility and physical function. Each patients individualized treatment plan will require the PTA to adapt therapeutic approaches and interventions based on specific needs and goals.

Qualifications

• Education: Candidates must possess an Associate Degree from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.


• Licensure: A current Texas State License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant is required.


• Experience: A minimum of two years of experience as a PTA is required, with a focus on manual therapy techniques.

Preferred Experience

While not required, experience in a hospital or acute care setting will be considered a significant asset. Knowledge of orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, as well as familiarity with electronic patient records, will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to our team.

Compensation and Benefits
