Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled rehabilitation team in Plano, Texas. This full-time position plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients recuperating from various injuries and surgeries. Work Environment

This onsite role is located within our well-appointed rehabilitation center where teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of our practice. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care. The work schedule is typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility as needed to meet patient demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans, enhancing patient mobility, strength, and functionality.
• Guide patients in therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to relieve pain and improve physical well-being.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and home exercise programs to foster independent recovery.
• Administer therapeutic modalities including electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy, under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Carefully monitor and document patient progress by tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Maintain organized treatment spaces and ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are ready for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care, ensuring optimal outcomes and satisfaction.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, helping to create a motivational and positive environment during their rehabilitation journey.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards while ensuring patient confidentiality and respecting their rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, sports injuries, and age-related ailments. This role requires a compassionate demeanor and an ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the varied needs of each patient, ensuring personalized care that addresses their specific challenges and rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions pertinent to physical therapy.
• Experience implementing therapeutic exercises and modalities under professional supervision.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an aptitude for building rapport with patients and collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated compassion and patient-centered approach, focused on helping individuals achieve their rehabilitation objectives.
• Able to tailor treatment plans for various patient populations, ensuring that care is individualized.
• Strong attention to detail, along with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a hospital or rehabilitation center environment is a plus, as familiarity with various patient populations and their unique challenges can enhance the quality of care provided. Candidates with previous exposure to electronic health record systems, therapeutic modalities, or multidisciplinary team dynamics will be highly regarded.

Compensation and Benefits
