Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation facility located in the heart of Irving, Texas. This full-time role is vital to our efforts in delivering exceptional physical therapy services. The PTA will work directly under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists, assisting in the execution of therapeutic plans tailored to help our patients regain mobility, strength, and functionality. Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital in Irving, Texas. Our facility is equipped with modern rehabilitation technologies and tools that facilitate effective patient care. The typical work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While this schedule is designed to promote work-life balance, occasional flexibility may be required to meet the needs of our patients and clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that focus on enhancing patient mobility, physical strength, and overall functionality.
• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises and mobility tasks while monitoring their performance and progress in real-time.
• Educate patients on proper body mechanics, fundamental exercise techniques, and provide guidance for home exercise programs, ensuring continuity of care between therapy sessions.
• Perform therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and both heat and cold therapy, under the directional supervision of Physical Therapists.
• Document and track patient progress, noting improvements in strength, range of motion, and functional independence with clarity and detail.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain an organized array of necessary equipment and supplies to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient treatment plans and optimal health outcomes.
• Provide emotional support, encouragement, and motivation to patients throughout their recovery journey, fostering a positive therapeutic environment.
• Uphold professional standards and practices by maintaining patient confidentiality and advocating for patient rights and dignity.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center serves a wide range of patient demographics, including children in need of pediatric rehabilitation, elderly patients benefiting from geriatric care, and individuals recovering from sports injuries or surgical interventions. The PTA must be adaptable, as they will encounter diverse conditions ranging from orthopedic to neurological cases, all requiring tailored therapeutic approaches to maximize recovery potential and improve patients quality of life.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Strong foundational knowledge in anatomy, physiology, therapeutic interventions, and patient care methodologies.
• Experience in executing therapeutic modalities and exercises, with a keen understanding of patient-centered care principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential for building positive relationships with patients and collaborative teamwork.
• Compassionate demeanor, exhibiting a genuine commitment to assisting patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a rehabilitation or clinical setting as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
