Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a home care setting in Arlington, Texas, allowing you to engage closely with patients in their familiar environments. You will work independently while being a part of a broader team of healthcare providers, facilitating a supportive and collegial atmosphere. This onsite role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each patient, acknowledging the dynamic nature of in-home care. You will have the opportunity to manage your own schedule, contributing to both your productivity and work-life balance in a Monday to Friday operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including obtaining pertinent medical histories, performing physical assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans.


• Effectively communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring active participation in goal-setting to enhance treatment success.


• Demonstrate proficiency in implementing treatment protocols that align with individual patient evaluations, adapt as necessary based on ongoing health developments, and structure interventions that promote maximum independence.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare professionals to coordinate care, recognizing and documenting any changes in patient conditions that may necessitate alterations in treatment strategies or referrals for further medical evaluations.


• Accurately document all patient interactions in a timely manner, maintaining detailed records that reflect the patients journey, including evaluation summaries, daily encounters, and discharge planning.


• Manage time effectively to comply with productivity expectations while maintaining punctuality for appointments, meetings, and community engagement activities.


• Participate in departmental goals and quality improvement initiatives, ensuring that all practices comply with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.


• Engage in continued professional development through attending relevant workshops, pursuing certification opportunities, and potentially serving as a clinical instructor for students.


• Promote positive patient experiences by understanding and addressing access barriers, enhancing care accessibility for all patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population spans various demographics, primarily serving individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or managing chronic illnesses. By providing in-home care, we focus on enhancing the quality of life for our patients, addressing their physical therapy needs where they feel most comfortable, and ultimately improving their ability to carry out daily activities. Your role will be pivotal in guiding and motivating patients through their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.


• A valid physical therapy license from the state of Texas.


• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.


• A commitment to continuous professional education and staying current with advancements in physical therapy practices.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a physical therapist is required, particularly in a home care or outpatient setting.


• Experience in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.


• Proficient in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
