Position: Audio/Visual Design and A/V Engineer

Location:  Platteville, WI (Hybrid 3 days in office)

Duration: Perm / Direct Hire

Note: No Visa Sponsorship

 Skills: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Ability to manage multiple tasks, Excellent written and verbal communication, Customer Service, Organization

 MUST HAVE:

 Proficiency in AutoCAD for mapping project needs, crafting block diagrams for complex setups involving streaming, YouTube, and camera systems.

Proficiency in working with Office 365, Windows, Sales Force CRM.

 Certifications: CTS (CTS-I, CTS-D), Q-Sys, Extron, AVIS PL.

 DESCRIPTION:

Are you a dynamic individual with a passion for A/V systems engineering? We're seeking a highly skilled Audio/Visual Systems Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering top-notch solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of A/V systems, developing technical solutions and conceptual engineering design specifications aligned with customer requirements.

  • Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients, discussing project scope, designing programs, and creating project schedules and plans.

  • Project Planning and Execution: Estimate manpower, determine materials and components, and specify hardware/software needs for installations. Read and interpret blueprints.

  • Installation Support: Collaborate with installation teams, focusing on programming, connectivity, and ensuring seamless integration of all components.

  • Physical Requirements: Lift at least 50 pounds, no physical restrictions, and a preference for candidates with construction knowledge.

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in broadcasting or AV engineering; experience outweighs a degree.

  • Documentation: Provide detailed drawings and information for fabrication and installation of audio, video, and control systems. Create equipment lists, floor plans, rack and console elevations.

  • System Testing and Programming: Design and engineer complete systems, test and program control systems, digital signal processors, routers, and mixers.

  • Project Management: Follow projects through to final adjustment and commissioning of installed systems. Involved in project management, creating scopes of work, explaining details to customers, and developing bill of materials.

  • Travel: Occasional travel with overnight stays, all expenses covered.

 Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD for mapping project needs, crafting block diagrams for complex setups involving streaming, YouTube, and camera systems.

  • Certifications: CTS (CTS-I, CTS-D), Q-Sys, Extron, AVIS PL.

  • Software Proficiency: Office 365, Windows, Sales Force CRM.

 Ideal Candidate:

  • Background in theater, audio setup, and banquet management, particularly in the Madison and Milwaukee areas.

 Work Environment:

  • Flexibility: Relocation is encouraged but commuting is understood. Hybrid work model, with 2 days remote and 3 days in the Platteville office.

  • Training: Training to be completed in Platteville, as needed.
