A/V & Helpdesk Technician

We have an immediate need for an A/V & Helpdesk Technician for a contract position with a medical school client in Los Angeles.

Contract duration: 3 months+ (Potential to extend or convert to full-time)

Work Hours: The work hours are 7:30am-4:30pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. 

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90059

This Job Pays: $25-35/hr W2

What You Will Do: 

  • Reset passwords using password management tool.
  • Connect CDU or personal devices to wireless network.
  • Troubleshoot any connectivity issues with devices not connecting to wireless.
  • Troubleshoot any sign in issues reported with Office 365, Blackboard, SSO or UKG
  • Assist students with account activation.
  • Answer IT helpdesk calls
  • Log all IT helpdesk calls received.
  • Monitor, create, assign, and close help desk tickets.
  • Troubleshoot staff VPN connectivity issues.
  • Assist Faculty in utilizing classroom AV systems.

What Gets You The Job: 

  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; Associates or Bachelor degree desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain working relationships with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and others.
  • Ability to maintain excellent customer service.
  • Must possess strong computer skills and be proficient in MS Windows and/or MacOS.
  • Experience with AV equipment (speakers, microphones, video cameras) preferred.
