Albireo Energy is currently looking for a high-level Account Executive who will be responsible for profitable and aggressive revenue growth in the San Diego, CA area. The account executive should have experience in all aspects of the industry including contractor and owner direct sales. The candidate must have extensive experience in both the plan and spec and design build markets and have a full understand and be proficient in estimating, bid document review, and preparing proposals. Experience in managing sales cycles and an appreciation for a disciplined and sophisticated approach to the sales process is a plus. The candidate should have comprehensive experience with fire and building codes such as NFPA, CBC, CFC, as well as all federal, state, and local jurisdiction code requirements. Responsibilities - Perform all responsibilities of the sales rep for fire alarm, access control, CCTV, and other specialty systems.
- Develop and maintain relationships with market leading contractors, end users, and consulting engineers plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for new construction projects.
- Assist consulting engineers with the design and specifications of system applications.
- Ability to estimate material, labor, and subcontractor costs for system for plans and specifications projects as well as layout and design systems and provide proposals on design-build projects.
- Works with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.
- Prospect for and qualify new construction opportunities.
- Prepare technical scope of work proposals and presentations.
- Influence new construction specifications through engineering relationships and educational lunch and learn presentations.
- Negotiate final approved pricing and scope of work with contractors and end users.
- Provide sales support to ongoing new installations.
- Attend sales meetings and training seminars.
- Propose and negotiate multi-year service contracts to end users.
- Team sell with other sales executives.
- Achieve annual revenue and gross margin targets.
- Track sales activities and forecast sales opportunities in CRM.
Requirements - Proven success in the plan & spec and owner direct sales.
- 3+ years of experience in sales in the security and fire alarm field.
- 3+ years of extensive experience with large commercial systems.
- Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, & fire alarm drawings.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of all local, state, and federal code requirements.
- Must embrace use of CRM tool for pipeline and activity management.
- Effective communication skills to give presentations before a broad audience.
- Closing expert, a hunter sales mentality is a must.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, Estimating Tools, and PowerPoint.
- NICET 1 or higher is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in sales preferred.
