Job Description



SNTC needs to add additional talent to support our customer in Washington, DC. The candidate will provide overall acquisition support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) providing support to develop acquisition plans, communicate status of critical milestones, prepare for acquisition reviews.  



What You’ll Get to Do:

Assist the acquisition program manager for complex weapons systems to ensure that effective acquisition milestone planning and coordination is completed on schedule.  You will manage complex POA&M, provide status briefings, research and investigate emerging acquisition best practices and develop critical DoD 5000 artifacts.  



You’ll Bring These Qualifications:




  • Requires bachelor's degree in relevant academic area such as business administration, logistics, acquisition or contract management, or similar degree field.

  • Working knowledge of DoD and NAVSEA 5000 series Program Acquisition Instructions.

  • Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Power Point and Excel).

  • Ability to conduct strategic and critical analysis, and work well with many people at multiple organizational levels.

  • Active DoD Secret+ security clearance


 

Required Skills:  At least 8 years of related experience in Government acquisition; Able to work well individually and as part of a team; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel.



 



Desired Skills: Experience working in a team environment and effectively completing assigned workload; Experience with experience with contracting experience in DoD/Federal; Strong communications skills; ability to effectively interact with senior Government personnel; DAWIA certifications are highly desirable.



 



Location: The place of performance will be at primarily at Government facilities the Washington Navy Yard.



 



Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience.



 



Clearance: Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.
