Are you looking for an Activity Coordinator position where you can make a positive impact on the lives of others while being able to obtain further training and career progression?

We have an exciting opportunity with a leading care specialist who are looking for an activities coordinator to work within their service in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. This service provides support to the elderly and those with elderly related illnesses so experience within this client group would be desirable. Please note this is a part time position of 16 hours per week on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of an Activity Coordinator:

* To organise and carry out physical, occupational, recreational and educational activities to meet the needs of older people.

* To plan and implement programmes of activities both within the Home and outside and to maintain a record of activities for each Service user.

* To attend team meetings on a regular basis to feedback information on the progress of individual service users and their care reviews, their changing needs and circumstances and to undertake regular supervision.

* Building and maintaining good relationships with the local community.

* Providing emotional support.

* Flexible to provide activities during the weekend and evenings.

* Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people living within the care home and how to support them to lead valued lives in the community.

* Demonstrate a knowledge of organising and co-ordinating appropriate activities.

* Demonstrate a knowledge of monitoring and recording of activities for each service users.

* Good literacy, numerical and verbal skills.

* Good planning and time management skills.

* Demonstrate ability to work well under pressure.
