Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated Avionics Software Test Engineer to join our client's Avionics Team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience testing safety-critical software in aerospace or similar field. We are looking for someone who can improve and automate existing testing, as well as create new test environments for future software applications.
Requirements
- Support the verification of safety-critical flight software.
- Develop test cases based on requirements.
- Coordinate with the requirements team to understand requirements and coordinate with verification lead to determine test adequacy.
- Develop test scripts to implement test cases.
- Run and troubleshoot test scripts on the system test bench.
- Qualify test scripts through verification of results and fault injection into the unit under test.
- Experience testing safety-critical software to DO-178 or similar standards.
- Experience with Vectorcast or similar unit testing tools.
- Experience with unit and system-level software testing.
- Experience developing a regression testing framework.
ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, the applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by ITAR (22 CFR §120.15) or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
