Job Title: Industrial Design Engineer Job Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite) Duration: Contract to Hire(C2H) Experience: Minimum of 5 Years Responsibilities: - Deliver sophisticated, emotional, and cohesive designs that balance an understanding of user experience, technology, market analytics, and aesthetics.
- Conceptualize and visualize product concepts that improve value to customers by translating marketing requirements into compelling product designs.
- Have an active role in leading, developing, and articulating design concepts, ideas, and directions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Assist team in client interaction and preparation.
- Assist IDUX Director in crafting sales and marketing collateral.
- Assist and work with engineers and vendors to solve design problems related to the user experience, usability, and appearance.
- Present design progress with management and IDUX Director.
- Work with Design Leads to craft innovative and appropriate user-centered solutions.
Qualifications - Self-starter with the ability to clarify ambiguous situations and not be afraid to fail and learn.
- Passion for working with a collaborative, multidisciplinary creative team.
- Innate curiosity and eagerness to learn about new technology, socio-cultural trends, and human behaviours.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Solidworks, Keyshot and related 2D/3D design software.
- Highly proficient at rapid sketching or digital ideation to communicate form, features, and style.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to verbally express concept ideas, characteristics, and rationale through hand-sketched concept drawings and electronic renderings, models, mechanical drawings and written reports.
- Candidates must submit a resume, cover letter, and present a portfolio of their work virtually.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
Education and Experience: - Degree in Industrial Design or equivalent experience
- 5+ years working experience
- Experience in developing medical devices or regulated products a plus
- Experience in multidisciplinary product development a plus
