As part of Production Team, identify opportunities to eliminate waste and increase efficiency of the manufacturing processes to improve profitability. Ensure that all assembly processes operate within lean manufacturing principles (Value Stream Mapping, Five S, Kanban, and poka-yoke) and schedule production and maintenance. Conduct cycle time studies and make recommendations for improvements. Conduct periodic cycle time studies for manufacturing inefficiencies or improvements. Lead the Continuous Improvement Process and maximize productivity and utilization of equipment and production team associates. Design and modify equipment and packaging line layout to identify and eliminate bottlenecks. Assess ergonomic factors in work systems and provide solutions and design factors to minimize RMI (Repetitive Motion Injuries) and accommodate the functional range of workers. Create and facilitate APQP process, process Flows, Hazard Plans, and Control Plans. Maintain project documentation, write test procedures, system manuals, and specifications. Effectively utilize tools such as Six Sigma, Value Stream Maps, Engineering Studies, Line Balancing, PFEP, and Resource Requirement Sheets to ensure all steps of production run smoothly and efficiently. Develop and implement quality control measures that effectively monitor products and guarantee desired results. Diagnose origin of breakdowns, including human error, and troubleshoot problems. Communicate with clients and vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed. Follow and adhere to all state, federal and company enforced safety rules and regulations.
