Northwest Partners is seeking a QA Analyst II to work for a premier client in Insurance in their Greater Cleveland, Ohio office. The QA Analyst II is responsible for the development and execution of manual and/or automated test scripts, primarily in Legacy Applications.

About the Role:
The position requires an analyst who works effectively within a development team and collaborates with other Quality Analysts. The position requires a self-starter who needs minimal direct supervision and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. This position reports to the IT Manager Quality Assurance.
What Will You Be Doing?
  • Participate in software requirement, specification, and design reviews
  • Design, develop, and execute test cases using test plans and functional specifications
  • Participate in test case reviews and incorporates feedback into assigned deliverables
  • Prioritize your work; manage assigned deliverables; and report progress as required
  • Create defects as required and ensures defects are per client Standards
  • Coach and mentor QA Analysts
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing and Model Office verification as required
  • Perform deliverables tracking and reporting as assigned
  • The Ideal Candidate Brings:
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science/Information Technology or a related field of study
    • 3-5 years of related work experience
    • 1-2 years experience in the insurance industry, preferred
    • Solid knowledge of software development methodologies, processes, and project governance
    • Ability to identify data requirements and data relationships within and among business processes
    • Demonstrated ability to use the full functions of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Hands on workplace experience with testing tools such as Rally and HP Unified Functional Testing
    • Familiarity working within the SDLC life
    • Experience with Agile Development Methodologies
    • Demonstrable experience with the creation of automated functional test scripts with testing tools is preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate with departmental and company personnel effectively and clearly via telephone, e-mail, and one on one dialogue
    • Solid meeting facilitation skills and experience in public speaking
