UserEvidence is a SaaS platform that unlocks stories from happy customers, and automatically creates a library of beautiful content assets. We are the only platform purpose-built to unlock customer love at scale. Credibility and noise are huge issues in B2B marketing and sales. We believe companies can sell a lot more when they let their customers do the talking, and show real-life evidence and feedback from their users. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Quality Assurance (QA) Contractor to join our small, post series-A startup. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and applications. While the ability to write automated tests is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. This is a part-time, fully-remote contractor role, and will likely only require about 10 hours / week initially. We are seeking someone ideally in UTC-5 to UTC-8 time zone to have the most overlap with the current team. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain manual test cases and test plans to verify the functionality and performance of our software products.
- Identify and report software defects, track them using our issue tracking tool, and verify their resolution.
- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure bug fixes and enhancements do not introduce new issues.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure software meets quality standards and user expectations.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the software's features and functionality.
- Work closely with developers to provide feedback and suggest improvements for product quality.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of the QA process, including test methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in software quality assurance.
Requirements - Previous experience in software quality assurance, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with software testing techniques, including manual testing and test case development.
- Experience with issue tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Jest) is a plus, but not required.
