TheQualified Individual Disability Professional (QIDP)will oversee fiscal administration, development and implementation of the residential services offered through Total Care Services, Inc., including Respite, Independent Habilitation, and Residential Habilitation as well as GHMRP, CRF, and ICF-MR settings through oversight and implementation of organizational policies, goals and objectives, quality assurance and community outreach. Requirements Requirements: - Bachelors Degree in Social Services or Human Services
- Five years supervisory experience in human services;
- Two years direct care experience in human services;
- Possess and maintain a valid Drivers License;
- Must have own transportation;
- Satisfactory driving record in accordance with Total Care Services, Inc. vehicle policy and/or liability insurance carrier;.
- Obtain certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and renew the certification annually;
- Complete first aid training in addition and all other trainings required by MRDDA;
- Be able to communicate with government officials, day program representatives and other staff.
- Be able to recognize emergency and be knowledgeable about emergency procedures;
- Have experience or training working with Individuals with developmental disabilities whose condition, due to mental and physical health needs and characteristics, require intensive services;
- Be able to read and write the English language;
- Must be a US citizen or alien who is lawfully authorized to work in the US; and
- Annual certification by a physician that he/she is in good physical and mental condition, capable of doing physical household tasks or of directing the work of household assistants; Excellent computer skills, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

What You Do: - Ensure that the program is operating in an efficient and effective manner as it relates to compliance with Medicaid Rules.
- Follow all protocols for medical and/or behavioral emergencies as well as unwarranted infestations (i.e. bed bugs, roaches, ants, rodents etc.)
- Provide supervision for day to day operation of Residential Services;
- Immediate supervisor for the Qualified Developmental Disabilities Professionals
- Implement policies, practices and procedures of the residential services division and the company, including the screening of prospective Individuals;
- Ensure the health and safety of the Individuals
- Prepare all reports and documents required by TCS and/or DDS;
- Complete all program tasks as it relates to the Individuals safety and well being.
- Responsible for the preparation of the budget and for the supervision of financial matters including, but not limited to billing and provision of required financial reports;
- Supervise Residential Services safety, laundry, and dietary standards and services, and of its services relating to the health, education, and welfare of its Individuals;
- Responsible for the maintenance of Residential Services records and reports relating to the Individuals and finances;
- Must be present in Residential Services or QIDP office or at the home of the Individual, or shall assign his or her duties for a period not to exceed 12 hours to a house manager, with authorization by the Assistant Residential Director or designee;
- Completes weekly status reports for the Assistant Residential Director;
- Review and investigate all reportable and serious reportable incidents;
- Maintain compliance, Medicaid Rules governing the provision of Supported Living, Residential Habilitation, Respite and Host Homes Services and other regulations as determined by the Department of Human Services;
- Create and revise forms for the benefit of Residential Services to be in compliance with DDS and other governing agencies in the District of Columbia.
- Provide supervision of and annual/initial evaluation for all residential services staff;
- Ensure staff compliance with training mandates and requirements;
- Participate in the Individuals admission, review and discharge process;
- Ensure interior and exterior of homes are maintained in an appealing, safe and sanitary manner and according to regulatory standards;
- Educate community and civic agencies, service providers and vendors, and other groups on the goals of the program, the targeted population and the services provided;
- Meet regularly with DHS/MRDDA representatives;
- Respond to reporting requirements of the Department of Human Services;
- Review and prepare Plan of Correction for external audits/reviews;
- Spot check all program activities, reports and assessments;
- Complete all notes timely in Therap;
- Upload relevant documents timely in Therap;
- Conduct internal quality assurance reviews; and
- Perform other duties as required and assigned.
Work Schedule: 8:30am- 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
