Data Analyst Location: US-MA-Boston Email this job to a friend

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the team. This individual will play a key role in helping to leverage data to drive patient safety, business, and operation related decisions. If you are looking for an opportunity to help customers use data better, this is the role for you. This role reports directly to the Head of Advanced Analytics. Key Duties & Accountabilities: - Partner with CRICO internal colleagues (Patient Safety, CRICO Strategies, Claims, Underwriting, Finance), business users (CRICOs member institutions and non-member clients) to understand business problems, define requirements, develop analytics methods & plan, and execute against them to ensure timely and quality delivery of results and insights in serving CRICO, CRICOs members and Candello clients
- Generate analyses ideas and methodology proposals
- Gather context and discuss requirements for analyses
- Follow policies relating to privacy and security, and obtain necessary signoffs
- Design queries, gather data, and create reports and visualizations in response to regular and ad hoc requests
- Synthesize and interpret data/results to make appropriate conclusions and relevant insights
- Validate results to ensure accuracy before presenting them to the requester
- Present findings to internal and external stakeholders when needed
- Support internal and external customers with tool use and data needs
- Develop and maintain effective relationships across CRICO departments and with external members and clients
- Understand and manage set of existing report templates created by Analytics Team in Power BI; update or create new ones when needed
- Identify, explore, articulate, and resolve issues surrounding data quality and analytic processes
- Develop, maintain, and document knowledge in client support, risk management, patient safety and loss prevention activities, insurance operations, and reflect understanding back in analytical work
- Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as required
Requirements MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUTE OR RELOCATE TO BOSTON Core Competencies: - Analytical and problem-solving
- Good communication skills oral, written, and presentation
- Ability to synthesize and interpret data/results to make appropriate and relevant conclusions & recommendations
- Report development using visualization software
- Collaborative across team/department yet also able to work independently

- Able to multi-task and prioritize

- Meticulous attention to detail
Knowledge: Education, Experience, & Skills: - Bachelors degree required, 2+ years relevant experience in analytics, Business Intelligence development, Information System, or a role with a focus on data and reporting
- Interested in opportunities for learning, career development, and growth
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Power BI preferred
- Knowledge of relational databases and familiarity with Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred
- Experience in healthcare, insurance industry, or health policy a plus
- Project management skill/experience a plus
