ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a talented Video Editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the companys vision and is suitable for broadcasting Ultimately, as a Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience

Take a brief to grasp company needs and specifications

Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film if needed

Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects

Create rough and final cuts

Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running

Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industrys best practices to maximize efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

Mac user preferred, knowledgeable in iMovie or Finalcut Pro

Proven work experience as a Video Editor

Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages

Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity

Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing

Creative mind and storytelling skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years of age and above

Good command of the English language

A headset with a noise-canceling feature and a high-definition webcam

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Computer Processor: 1 Ghz or above; Intel Core i3 i5 i7 or AMD equivalent is highly required

RAM: atleast 8GB with 60GB hard disk space available

Internet Connectivity: 10 Mbps DSL/Fiber Internet connection (USB sticks, signal-based & wireless connections are not allowed)

Operating System: Windows Or Mac
