Job Opportunity Maintenance Technician with Kadant Black Clawson in Northern Cincinnati, OH

Do you have a passion for plant maintenance? Do you have experience analyzing and troubleshooting machinery and facility maintenance problems? If so, we want to speak with you about our position.

As the Maintenance Technician with Kadant Black Clawson, you will perform daily and scheduled maintenance to the machinery and plant facilities in order to provide a high degree of Safety, Quality and Productivity in a world class manufacturing environment. You will plan and perform daily mechanical and electrical maintenance while analyzing and troubleshooting machinery problems. Some additional responsibilities of this position include:

Maintain preventative mechanical and electrical maintenance programs.
Issue and complete preventative maintenance work orders.
Plan and coordinate machinery down time with limited production schedule disruption.
Coordinate and plan electrical upgrades on the building and on plant equipment as required.
Keep a safe and clean work area, machinery, tools, equipment, and the shop in general.
Perform other shop related duties as required.

Ability to read blueprints, building plans, and repair manuals.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Thorough knowledge of general electrical and mechanical repair.

Excellent time management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, be able to climb and work from ladders/lifting apparatuses, and will have a safe work history. As well as performing duties in a safe manner, the physical requirements of this position include:

Must be capable of hearing or have an awareness of forklifts and cranes moving throughout the facility. May be required to operate forklifts and cranes.
May be required in work in confined spaces, crawling in, on, and under equipment.
Must be able to move around the shop floor and negotiate ramps and uneven floor surfaces with exposure to a typical shop environment; i.e. extreme heat, cold, dust, noise, fumes, and other elements.
