Psychiatrist (Tampa, FL)

Diagnose and treat disorders. Examine patients and order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine the best course of treatment. Counsel patients, prescribe medication, order laboratory tests, order imaging, and conduct examinations.

Specifically, diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and medication. Evaluate and treat a range of patients with mental health issues (including emotional, or behavioral disorders), and preventive care. Review patient history, examine the patient for symptoms or physical information, order necessary tests, analyze findings, administer or prescribe treatment and determine and prescribe any necessary medication and/or refer to patient to a specialist.

Job Requirements: Medical Degree or foreign equivalent.

Completion of a 3-year residency in the field of Psychiatry.

Board Certification in Psychiatry.

Florida state medical license.
