CARDIOVASCULAR TECHNOLOGIST

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Full Time Cardiovascular Technologists at the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath. Laboratory). Services are needed to start immediately. The technologist shall have either CCI or ARRT certification or minimum 12 months experience. Performs a variety of duties such as angiography imaging as an assistant to the physician and assisting in interventions in the cardiovascular system including monitoring physiologic parameters.

Must have thorough knowledge and be fully functional in the cardiac electrophysiology area including outpatient and inpatient cardiac device management, electrophysiology procedures, studies, abiations and pacemaker, ICDs and Bi-V device implementations. The incumbent must also be efficient in understanding processes and procedures related to diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, trans-esophageal echocardiography, cardioversion, and all the above electrophysiology related procedures.

Other duties include but are not limited to: scrubbing, circulating, monitoring, and operating equipment on complex examination and treatment procedures for critically ill patients in the cardiac catheterization/EP laboratory; provide technical assistance to the cardiologist during all procedures performed in the laboratory; independently monitor the progression of procedures; accurately monitor and record intravascular pressures and electrocardiography tracings; operate digital radiologic and monitoring computer systems; assist in preparation of patients prior to procedures, and care for patients during and post procedures; assists with training and mentoring other technicians, nurses, and students in the cardiac catheterization/EP laboratory; perform a variety of routine to complex noninvasive/invasive diagnostic studies to identify and record anomalies indicative of disease, injury or other medically significant conditions.

SALARY $44/HR
