Detroit Labs OnSite Business Unit is looking for an experienced Angular Developer to join an exciting project with an existing client that drives game-changing automotive technology. This role will work on in-vehicle web services for customers with connected capabilities across the USA and Canada. These systems consist of several backend, frontend, and middleware applications. As a full-time member of our OnSite Business Unit team, we prioritize your individual career growth by providing optional check-in support, a yearly retro, and access to a variety of learning resources to ensure you are always growing and working towards your goals.

This is a full-time salaried hybrid role located in Auburn Hills, MI. You must be able to work in the office a minimum of 2 days a week.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with Machine Learning, AI, and natural language processing
• Hands-on experience in applying Google ML/AI services to real-world projects
• Experience with data gathering, data quality, system architecture, and coding best practices
• Strong background in reinforcement learning, particularly with human feedback (RLHF), and its practical applications
• Demonstrated expertise in improving request/response quality in AI-driven interactions
• Knowledge of grounding language models in context for coherent and relevant text generation
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and relevant machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to develop innovative AI solutions
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex technical concepts

Responsibilities

• Utilize your expertise in AI and machine learning to develop and enhance models for text generation, attribution, and context-based interactions
• Leverage Google ML/AI services to design and implement solutions that address complex language understanding and generation tasks
• Apply reinforcement learning techniques with human feedback (RLHF) to refine and optimize models' performance
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve request/response quality and ensure seamless user experiences
• Ground language models in context by developing strategies to maintain coherence and relevance in generated text
• Work on projects aimed at pushing the boundaries of AI-driven natural language processing, contributing to advancements in the field
• Utilize your GCP expertise to manage data, import content, and implement solutions within a cloud-based environment
