Job Description

The Business Analyst conducts interviews with the business users and subject matter experts to collect and document business requirements and present them in standard templates. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a Business Analyst for AMANDA enterprise permit and licensing application from Granicus (formerly Calytera).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for business requirement meetings
  • Prepare participants with information for the purpose of requirement analysis meeting
  • Explain AMANDA features and capabilities
  • Assist with AMANDA software configuration and workflow capabilities
  • Conduct interviews and detailed requirement gatherings during the meetings with the Business Offices.
  • Gather requirements in standard templates
  • Document template and reporting capabilities within AMANDA software
  • Present demo of configured AMANDA application
  • Document pre-condition and post-action event rules in AMANDA software
  • Standardize and document various processes in AMANDA software
  • Assess and review the business capabilities with each Business Office
  • Assist in the documentation and analysis of business scope, standardization, requirements, user stories, test cases, success criteria, etc.
  • Prepare process flow documentation
  • Review and validate requirements with the technical team
  • Conduct requirement reviews with Business Offices for signoff
  • Provide input to the Solutions Architect and development team for implementation
  • Provide support to the QA team during the testing phases of the project
  • Assist in the UAT and User Training activities

Top Skills & Years of Experience Summary:

Experience working in AGILE with understanding of Scrum processes

Experience working with Microsoft Vizio to depict Business process Flows

AMANDA Skills (Configuration, workflow, cycles)

Experience in Requirements management tool like JIRA, Azure DevOps.

Experience with training highly preferred

General Skills

  • Ability to generate insights from information for standardization
  • Experience working in AGILE with understanding of Scrum processes
  • Experience working with Microsoft Vizio to depict Business process Flows
  • Good documentation skills and being able to articulate business requirements in an understandable form including documenting Functional Specifications
  • Good presentation skills and be able to demonstrate to business users
  • Expertise in translating business requirements to technical requirements
  • Work with business teams as well as technical team
  • Experience in Requirements management tool like JIRA, Azure DevOps.
